HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, Arkansas — Spa-Con, the iconic comics and pop culture convention that has brought thousands of fans to Hot Springs for nine years, is transitioning to management by VXV Events, the nationally acclaimed comics convention company that has attracted throngs to famous conventions all over America.
The 2026 Spa-Con also will move from its September dates to May 16 and 17 in 2026. It will continue to be held at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
Spa-Con has hosted scores of internationally recognized celebrities, including Nichelle Nichols, Sherilyn Fenn, Barry Bostwick and Rodger Bumpass.
“The Spa-Con team is honored to have VXV events, a nationally recognized comic convention company, take the reins of Spa-Con in 2026,” Visit Hot Springs Marketing Director Bill Solleder said in announcing the transition. “VXV has worked with the biggest names in comic con culture like William Shatner, Christopher Lloyd and Christina Ricci, so for them to see Spa-Con as an established and worthwhile event is an honor and a huge compliment for everyone involved in Spa-Con over the past nine years. I can’t wait to see how VXV Events takes Spa-Con to the next level.”
Solleder said VXV manages 21 other comics conventions in 10 states.
Jay Branch, VXV Events spokesperson, said, “With an already built-in fan base and with Hot Springs’ proximity to Little Rock, a city where VXV has had great success with comic and anime conventions, Spa Con is set to explode in attendance and popularity.”

Tickets for the May 16 – 17 convention go on sale December 1.
