Spa-Con Welcomes Spock Vegas

Spa-Con welcomes cosplay artist and impersonator Spock Vegas!

He is Paul Forest aka Spock Vegas.  And with his exciting combination of good looks and good voice, he became a huge Star Trek fan favorite the first time he hit Fremont Street in Las Vegas 5 years ago.  Paul has been doing cosplay now for over thirty years by winning contests as an Elvis impersonator as he was very young, and going from Dracula, to Darth Vader to BumbleBee in between.  He won Las Vegas’s BEST LOOK-ALIKE contest at the Venetian.  He has 4 years of work experience on the street, all over Canada and the US, and has been exhibiting and invited at Comic Cons for the past year.

In the past 2 years he has completed 65 Comic Cons and Fan Expos, flying from city to city, fund raising money for charity.  Plus attending many others such as Dragon Con and Star Trek Cons.  He has since become the most viral Spock impersonator on the internet, taking more than 500 pictures per weekend with fans.  And even got invited in the last 6 months, since Leonard Nimoy’s passing, to join the guest list of top Cosplayers like Leeana Vamp and Nicole Marie Jean, in 6 conventions so far.

During this year alone, he was approached 70 times by TV news crews and even was offered to represent Cosplayers at Salt Lake City Comic Con on a few local channels.  He also got invited to host the Saturday costume contest in Windsor, presenting more than 60 costumed characters.

With a bunch of appearances in music videos and over 160 news TV interviews, blogs, official Star Trek and Leonard Nimoy special tribute magazines, plus many newspapers articles including front pages now under his phaser belt, he continues to get better and more popular every day.

At last year’s StarTrek convention, the first Spock Vegas action figures were unveiled by TWINDOM.  Followed by an exclusive 3D figures produced by LEVAVO’s, and was featured on their website and in online articles by the BBC.  He recently cosplayed as Spock in London UK, where he talked through Skype to the late Leonard Nimoy, who replied, “What is this,,, it’s like looking at myself in the mirror!”, making the whole room laugh.

His favorite quote is of course, “Live long and prosper.”

Spock Vegas now lives on Earth.
